Trained a team of 7 including an amazing person of the age of 60 to Climb Kilimanjaro.... Orchestrated a grand campaign that involved developing a brand new kind of exoskeleton for the famous and three times world record holder, Michael Haddad, and to help paralyzed people walk again in the future. Brought together students from the School of Engineering, Medicine, Nutrition, Architecture & Design, and Arts & Sciences Arts & Sciences. Each worked based on their own expertise.
Provided Survival, Outdoors and Extreme sports training since 2002.
Training involves: Basic Self Defense, First Aid training, Specific Knots, Fire making, Traps, Identifying edible / non edible plants, Navigation, Shelter building, Clothing and layering, Finding food/water, Water purification methods, Team building/bonding games and workshops, etc.
The deeper lessons one learns from joining such a training is not simply about surviving in the wild, but in day to day world.
Such training help the attendees: - Build trust in themselves and in one another - Work as a team - Face fears in a calm and effective way - Control anger by converting the emotional intense situation into productive outcomes. - Further develop will power and help them discover their new limits - Think creatively and learn the art of improvisation - value and appreciate what they have, and understand the feeling of those that don’t have much - Build self-confidence and self-esteem
